Personal Narrative
4.1 The classes that helped me to complete MLO 4.1 were JAPN 403, JAPN 401, and WLC 400. JAPN 400, which was taken during my fall semester (see terms > Fall > JAPN 403). In that course, we learned how to conduct research and properly use search engines to receive scholarly information. With the research methods from JAPN 403, I was able to begin my capstone on Multiculturalism. 4.2 The course that most focused on Japanese language and cultural interpretation was JAPN 404. Although we learned many different writing methods, including the proper way in which to write a presentation, research paper, etc. We also spent a majority of the class developing our capstone project and how to present in fluid Japanese. 4.3 In WLC 400, we used technology-based resources to complete our capstone project. We were taught how to use Google Forms to create surveys and sent them through mail and social-networking sites. We were also able to collect and analyze data to input on a powerpoint presentation. We used Excel to make charts which went on the powerpoint and used Word to write our final papers and scripts in both Japanese and English using the proper format learned in JAPN 404. |
