Major pro-seminar
Personal Narrative:
WLC 300 was a course to prepare students in the World Language and Culture department for the "real world". It was taught by several teachers, many of which we had never had before because they were the teachers from the opposite language in the department. We were taught about internships, creating resumes, and writing personal statements which are all things that one needs after they walk across the graduation stage. It was during the Major Pro Seminar that we began the foundations of this portfolio. |
Course Description:
This course introduces students to the majors in Japanese Language and Culture, Spanish or World Language and Cultures. Students acquire knowledge and understanding needed to fulfill Major Learning Outcomes for the programs. Students identify and work with a major advisor to develop individual learning plans. The course examines opportunities in related professional and career paths, including graduate education and teaching credential preparation |
